I heard that not only was this scene was improvised, but it was so well done they just keep the first take of it in the movie. Daniel Radcliff is actually confused concerned at what he’s hearing from Rickman. You can’t even tell when he catches on (which he obviously does). Amazing the chemistry that happens when you get actors like that together.
